Become A Better Bike Rider.  Ride Safely and With More Confidence!

New Haven Coalition for Active Transportation (NHCAT) will offer two Traffic Skills 101 classes for cyclists who know how to ride a bike on, Saturday April 20 and Saturday, May 11.  This one-day class will offer instruction to help you build skills and confidence while learning more about traffic laws in Connecticut, crash avoidance, lane positioning, and basic bike maintenance.  Over the course of the day you will develop your knowledge, expertise and ability to use a bicycle safely, confidently, and competently for commuting, utility, health, and recreation.  While the class is intended for all people who can ride a bike and want to improve their skills, it is also a prerequisite for becoming a League Cycling Instructor (LCI) of the League of American Bicyclists.
